You weren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth, right? Yeah, me neither.
And most of us weren't. We are just out here trying to build generational wealth for ourselves. And if you're like me, there's been a huge learning curve!
Because Financial Literacy is NOT part of our Education!
When I was in school, we were taught nothing about Finances. I remember once during Free Period a teacher taught a few of us how to write a check. None of us were even old enough to have a checkbook! But I guess she tried. 🤷
At home wasn't any better. My father didn't work. My mom was the glue that held the family together by running a day care at our house. She worked long days chasing around kids just to live paycheck to paycheck. I was picked on in school for wearing hand-me-downs (Def didn't help that I had brothers a foot taller than me 🤣) But, hey, that was the best they could do.
But, now YOU have the power to change it!
A few years ago, I decided I didn't want to live like that. And I took on the responsibility to learn and educate myself on all things finance. I was so excited to finally take action rather than just complaining about something, yet not actually be willing to make any change. This led me to Real Estate Investing and after about 2 years, I was bringing in an extra 10k a month.
There is a LOT I can do with an extra 10k a month hanging around and I have been able to roll that into even more investments. And it just keeps snowballing from there! 😉
So, what would you do with a 10k a month?
Would you quit your day job? Spend more time with your kids? Would you take that vacation you have been dreaming about? Would you pursue a passion project? Or just wake up in the morning and see where life takes you?

If you aren't sure how to get started, these tips are for you:
1. Have a plan.
You need to know where you are going before you can get into the car. Will 10k do it for you? Or do you need more money to live the lifestyle you want? If you are reading this email, it's probably because you understand the power of using Real Estate Investing as a vehicle to reach Financial Independence. But, you need to know WHAT you want to do with Real Estate first. Are your going for the long term buy and hold strategy? Do you want something more passive like Syndications? Or are you ready to Flip Properties and get that lump sum of money? All will work, but one is right for you to start. Think of your End Goal and work backwards from there.

2. Accept where you are now.
I remember a few years ago, I helped a friend out that was filming a commercial. She gave me a check for $600 bucks for the afternoon. I thought that was such a large amount of money back then! I say this because we all have to start somewhere. We start by making little changes that lead to big results. When I started to take Financial Literacy seriously, I didn't even have a savings account....because I didn't have anything to put in it. LOL
But, by taking stock of where I truly was financially, it helped me realize what changes I needed to make. Once I was willing to accept that, there was no stopping me!
3. Always be learning!
When I first started my journey, I felt so lost. I felt so dumb thinking everyone else already knew all these things. And I felt totally overwhelmed. It took plugging into people and resources that I really trusted. Then, step by step, I was able to increase my knowledge and my bank account came right along with it. I am much more comfortable in not only doing, but now teaching others advanced strategies when it comes to investing in general, but I will always be looking for the next strategy that I can master and capitalize on. But, remember, we all start from the beginning.
