How Are You Keeping Yesterday’s Gratitude Alive?

I hope if you celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday you enjoyed the holiday and had some downtime with your family. I think we can all agree that this year has been unlike any other and a break was much deserved if you were lucky enough to get it!
I know I couldn't be more grateful for you and all the other women in Lady Landlords. Helping women just like yourself move forward in their journey to Financial Freedom truly lights me up and I am soo happy that this what I get to do every single day.
But as we get through the weekend and back to work, it gets hard to keep gratitude and appreciate in the front of our minds.
So this week, here are some tips to help you carry the positivity through the next few weeks (as we all know it's about to get even crazier!) Through tough and stressful times, staying focused and praticing appreciation will, well, just make you a little bit happier! And if you are planning on purchasing a property before the end of the year, oh, you're going to need it!
1. Keep a gratitude journal
Add one thing every day when you wake up or before you go to bed at night that you feel grateful for. Don't spend a lot of time thinking about it. Just write the first thing that comes to your mind and in a week or so you will have a whole list of things to remember when times get tough or stressful.
2. Find gratitude in your challenges
Having a tough time thinking of something to be grateful for? We all have bad days where nothing seems to have gone right so some days will be harder to practice gratitude than others. So use that as your fuel! Think: "What am I unhappy about?" For example, turn "I'm having a tough time dealing with tenants" into "I am grateful to even have tenants to start with." By remembering what you appreciate, the tough times can become your superpower on how to get through it!
3. Express yourself
Don't keep it in! Share your appreciation and gratitude with others! The other day in Lady Landlords we did a gratitude post. I LOVED reading everyone's comments and it inspired me to think of my own! It lightened my mood and improved my day instantly just by taking a moment to be mindful! Looking for a smaller group to share appreciation with? Consider the Lady Landlord Accountability Group as we are a small initimate group to have your voice heard. We all need a little bit of that these days!
Be sure to tune in next week for tips on how you can add to your Portfolio before the end of the Year! (YES! it can be done!)
