The #1 mistake Real Estate Investors make

I want to see you win. I want to hear that you are buying rentals and reaching financial freedom. I want to hear about the legacy that you are leaving for your loved ones.

But, you may be making one BIG mistake that is holding you back.

I often have women share that they feel lost on what is the next step for them. They get stuck in analysis paralysis and lose valuable time and money chasing the wrong strategy. Too often, we hear of someone's success and we look to duplicate the process. We go all out trying to learn their strategy hoping it will serve us well, but then another person shares their success, and then that's another strategy. Well, which way are we to go?

I am here to tell you: You are doing it all backwards!

To be a successful real estate investor, we need to reverse engineer our path forward.

Read the below steps to get yourself back on track or:

Listen to the strategy on this week's episode on the Lady Landlords Podcast here!

Step 1: Define your goals.

Start with your end goal first. We can use buzzwords all we want for financial freedom or time independence, but we need to get clear on what this means for you. You need to know your destination in order to get there. Then, let your goals dictate your strategy, not the other way around.

Step 2: Assess your current situation.

What I love about real estate investing is that there is a way for everyone to get involved. And in order to do that we need to take stock of where we are financially. It might not be the easiest to look at our financial situation if we have debt or poor credit, but we need to dive into it to sort out how to finance our properties. It will also allow us to realize what creative financial strategies we will need to educate ourselves on. As I have learned time and time again through our Roadmap workshop, I find that with a few tweaks here and there, more woman are able to finance properties easier than they originally thought.

Step 3. Create an action plan

Now that you have a comprehensive picture of where you are going and what you are starting with, it is easy to see the steps you need to take. All you have to do now is connect the dots and put one foot in front of the other!

If you are need help assessing your portfolio and choosing the best strategy for you, register for the Lady Landlords Roadmap workshop today!
